Is that rear suspension s-tongue looking deal a piece of laminated/shaped carbon fiber or is it metal?

Actually, Gary, unlike you...I'm old-school: a D200. Soon-to-be-replaced, though. And the 18-200 lens is soon-to-be-dropped into a dumpster.
