Duluth Snocross Photo Essay

(11/30/2010)

Starting Line

Oh yeah!

Lots of Arctic Cat fans in this crowd

Good crows all weekend. See if you can pick out Jason MacDonald and Andy Swanson. And Waldo.

Arctic Cat's Dan Ebert

Factory Team Arctic's Dan Ebert showed flashes of brilliance, but didn't have that extra mojo in either Pro Class final.

Factory Arctic Cat Semi Pro, Kyle Pallin

It was a bittersweet weekend for Factory Arctic Cat racer Kyle Pallin, who qualified for the X Games on Friday, but suffered a couple tough crashes that kept him off the podium in both Semi Pro Stock finals.

Factory Arctic Cat Semi Pro, Cody Thomsen

Factory Team Arctic's Cody Thomsen won the first Semi Pro Stock final of the weekend, and almost made it a sweep with a near-miss-second-place on Sunday.

Arctic Cat/Sportech racer Johan Lidman of Sweden

Johan Lidman of the Sportech/Arctic Cat team looked FAST all weekend long, claiming a fourth in Pro Open and qualifying for X Games. Sweden should be proud!

Johan Lidman raced the Sportech/Arctic Cat to 4th in Open

Another shot of Johan Lidman, because this guy is literally living-the-dream.

Arctic Cat/Christian Bros. Racing's Garth Kaufman

Garth Kaufman ran fast and consistent all weekend long. I swear, if he could get a holeshot, he'd be one the podium every weekend. He did win the X Games Qualifier on Friday Night.

Logan Christian is now a Pro on the Arctic Cat/CBR team

Logan Christian moved up to the Pro class this year and showed he's ready with a win the X Games Qualifier. How about this wicked whip on the uphill jump!?!

The Team Arctic Cat factory race trailer

Lots of Action outside the Factory Arctic Cat hauler. With three racers (Dan Ebert, Cody Thomsen and Kyle Pallin), plus their crew, racing out of this baby, the action is often hectic. What goes on inside? Well....

Speedwerx owner and clutching master, Steve Houle

...One guy you'll find in most of the Arctic Cat-sponsored big rigs is Steve Houle, owner of Speedwerx and most likely the greatest clutching wizzard in the business.

Arctic Cat is first to the first turn...most of the time

...and this is the result of Speedwerx's expertise. A Semi Pro Stock heat on Saturday, three Arctic Cats heading into the first turn WAY ahead of everyone else.

Arctic Cat's Matt Pichner

Matt Pichner, framed by the Duluth Harbor.

Arctic Cat's Magnus Lindback

Magnus Lindback, racing for the Frattalone team, came all the way from Alta, Norway. Cool!

Tucker Hibbert ruled the roost once again

Tucker proved that he's still firmly in control of first place in the Pro classes.

Tucker and Roger

Roger Skime, VP of Engineering at Arctic Cat, is ALWAYS one of the first to congratulate ANY class winner. Of course, Roger takes particular satisfaction when it's an Arctic Cat racer.

Kirk and Tucker Hibbert, two Arctic Cat racing legends

Two Arctic Cat racing legends, Kirk and Tucker Hibbert.
