Final Sneak Peek Video for Arctic Cat's 2012 Snowmobiles?

An 1100 Turbo for 2012

Arctic Cat gives us yet another tidbit about their 2012 Model line: An 1100 Turbo in the new chassis.

The vented center portion of the hood is clearly different than the pix that people have been posting in the forum, which suggests...multiple engines. Plus, as the spy photos seem to illustrate, the sled appears in both long and standard track configurations.

As long as it comes in an affordable 600 cc two stroke with the D Drive I am all in. Cat. Please do something about the hood attatchments. get rid of the pin and wire and put on some nice 1/4 turn fastners PLEASE!

teaser vids are fun but spring demo's really gets the blood hot!!!doo released some protos of the xp for the dealers to play with in the spring of 07 and all sorts of info and vids of riders recklessly riding the machines in road ditches, passing cars at 70+ with the ski's in the air, jumping ditch crossings, etc, were all over the net and they had a successful launch of a new chassis.. that's the stuff that sells sleds!!!!!action vids of customers beating the living crap out of proto's..poo seen it!!

did any wild animals get hurt in the making of these teaser vids or just carl?

Flintstone: Did they show the failures of Bulkheads or Motors in that video?

I cant take the suspense anymore, I'm about to blow a f***in head gasket !

The sled is badged as a turbo, so that looks like the intercooler under the fins. At that angle I wonder if they lost efficiency of the intercooler, meaning power?

catflatlander: did some research and looks like they were hush hush about the problems..I think if a proto went down they silently removed it from the fleet..also I believe consumers are a little more forgiving if a proto goes down.. cause after all it is just a proto!! back in those days the big rumor was that the proto's were hopped up to make sales!! not a bad strategy I guess?

quite a few of us will buy off of what a spec sheet says, these new cats will more then likely look good on paper.. I'm sure the next step is going to be to get some riders out there and run these things hard to get the fun going.. we also need to get these sleds on dyno, scales, the whole nine yards!! too much money at stake to make a mistake in this difficult economy.

Did anyone notice in teh video the white tunnels hanging on the assembly line? I wonder which models will get them. Maybe the spring release. Counting down.

Pretty dissapointed with the producing of this 3rd video. the other two were done much better. it was obvious they couldn't quite figure out how to play this one out. oh, well at least we got to see some stuff

James, I noticed the white tunnels. Must be a Spring order special....
Jerry says:

could the white on the tunnel just be a primer coat ?
bryan says:

guinni pig or not, they will be fine..if cat doesnt have there **** together by now then they need to quit the business that they dominate...and if they do have problems im sure they will be taken care of....well be ordering 2 come next week!

Messed-up,

It must have been those "extreme" speeds Joey went with the Cross Country Cat during the Vintage portion of the I-500 that got his head so smooth.................
