Two-and-a-half years ago, snowmobile legend C.J. Ramstad and the Minnesota Dept. of Tourism created this wonderful short promo film about snowmobiling in Minnesota. A few months later, C.J. and his son were killed in an automobile accident.
20 years ago, C.J. gave me my first job in the snowmobile industry: to write the innugural issue of Minnesota Snowmobiling Destinations. And he remained a good friend ever since.
I still think of him weekly...sometimes daily. And I miss him dearly. His insight, historical knowledge and passion for snowmobiling will never be equaled.
This is the first posting related to C.J. here at ArcticInsider. It definitely won't be the last.
