Bittersweet Mountain Ride

Despite the thrills and incredible adventure that mountain riding offers, it still scares the you-know-what out of me.

This video illustrates the fact perfectly. It's painful to watch, I don't believe there are any swear words (the guy is French-Canadian), and it appears that he doesn't get injured.

Thanks to for sending it to me.

Over the Top: Speedwerx Procharger Kit

How does 210 hp, instant throttle response, stock-like sound and lighter-than-stock sound? Yep, me too.

Speedwerx has pretty much finalized everything on their new Procharger kit for the 2010-11 M8 and Crossfire 8.

NOTE: Someone Drops the F-Bomb in the middle of the vid...turn the volume down if needed.

Are You Among the In In Crowd?

"The runners-up and also-rans, and even those who didn't race at all, have discovered that snowmobiles attract the "In" crowd. The crowd that knows how to enjoy themselves."

Trevor's Special Opps Mission

By day, Trevor Halvorson is an engineer at Arctic Cat who can build and tune just about anything. By afternoon, he's a special operative for this Website.

We captured this international-man-of-intrigue at the recent 2012 Snow Shoot in Jellystone, where his mission was to improve the scenery in the staging area.

She'd Rather Squeal, on a Snow-mo-bile

Metalflake... open-face helmets... Fresca pop...and great sled lyrics.

"We tip the glass to the Northern lass, for she won't let you kneel. She'd rather squeal, on a snowmobile."

Arctic Cat's 2012 Snowmobile Tech Video

Ski-Doo released a new video about their 2012 rear suspension (interesting, but terrible voice "talent").

Polaris released a vid about their three new-for-'12 sleds (lots of sizzle, not much steak).

After taking a beating on this site for NOT releasing more info on their 2012 machines, I needed to post this video detailing some important technology for their 50th Anniversary Arctic Cat snowmobiles.

Brian Nelson Rides his '79 Cross-Country

Brian Nelson and I put 55 miles on two of his three '79 Arctic Cat el tigre Cross-Country sleds, pounding the ditches near his shop in Spicer, Minn.

Two things: Brian still FLIES, and so does the '79 CC tiger. I wish I had video of 15-minute portion of this ride, during which we were seriously raging at race-pace. Alas... the best moments ALWAYS happen when the camera can't be rolling.
