Thanks to the stunning success of Team Arctic’s Soo 500 sled project last season, a small number of Arctic Cat racers have the opportunity to purchase a nearly identical race sled for this coming season.

Nine highly-modified Arctic Cat enduro sleds are being built inside the Christian Brothers Racing shop in Fertile, Minn., with the aim to contest enduro (and perhaps some lake XC) races this coming season.

These nine Race Replica machines will feature all of the same modifications listed in YESTERDAY’s STORY that detailed last year’s race winner, including:

* 45-in. Ski Stance: Wider A-Arms

* Adjustable-linkage swaybar

* C&A Pro Skis with modified quick-change saddle mods

* FOX 1.5 Zero RC2 Podium ski shocks

* Revised rear suspension with long front arm and geometry for additional coupling and transfer control

* FOX 1.5 Zero C front track and 2.0 Zero RC rear track shocks

* 14-in. Camoplast Ripsaw track with 1-in. lugs

* Modified tunnel for rear suspension and rear enclosure

* SX-style brake master cylinder

* Custom brake cooling duct

* Modified and reshaped seat

* Seat-mounted LED tail/brake light, with auxiliary taillight

* Right-side foot support

* Rear Tunnel Close-off

* Wahl Bros. handlebars

* Larson Racing 4th Wheel Kit

* Modified fuel tank with fuel pump and extra vent hose for quick-filling

* Speedwerx-modified Arctic Cat C-TEC2 600 engine with batteryless EFI producing horsepower in the 150-range

– Ceramic-coated Speedwerx race-spec twin pipes with anti-vibration banding

– Ported cylinders

 – Cylinder head mod to accept Speedwerx interchangeable high-compression head inserts.

– Bored throttle bodies

– Thermostat removed from bottom-end

– ECU remapping

* TEAM drive and driven clutches

* Lightened hood and body plastic

* Nose intake protector

These turn-key sleds will be ready to race with just a minimum of work. Racers will have to add their own studs and carbides, as well as use their preferred windshield. Other than that, it’s gas-and-go.

These state-of-the-art race machines will be available to select racers through Christian Brothers Racing, with the target completion date of November.

Cost is TBD.
