2023 PRE-ORDER SNOWMOBILE EVENT IS ON NOW!

Starting today (April 19), and for two weeks only, Arctic Cat is open for Model Year 2023 Snowmobiles pre-ordering. All of the 2023 models have been outlined on this website in the FEATURES section for you to review, or you can go to ArcticCat.com and check out their Buyers Guide to help inform your decision.

If you haven’t placed an order with your dealer already, I suggest you do, or order online at ArcticCat.com as soon as possible. (I’ve taken some snapshots of the online order process below which is pretty straight forward)

      there’s an enormous gaping hole of product between $10,099 and $14,399 that BRP & Polaris will happily fill.

      • And below 8699.00. Ski Doo has this covered very very well. As for 2018 models,….pretty much. In my world I see it simply as no ticky no washy. Nothing new and the money stays in TP’s wallet. Current pricing is not in line with technology being offered. Other products offer greater value for the dollar.
        Maybe 2024 will be better………but I ain’t betting on it.

  1. Can we assume that all the 2022’s have been delivered. I mean that was the reason for waiting until 4/19, correct?

    I’m also amazed that a company’s year and success is determined by 2 weeks of product orders. Crazy!

    • No not yet. Dealer still waiting on the RR 6000 sleds. Not expecting them till June now due to shock component issues. They had offered a cheaper shock package but no price discount so my dealer said build it as ordered. I dont really need it till December so who cares at this point in time.

    • Riot Rider – You have to remember, Arctic Cat placed their order for 2023 parts and build quantities many months ago. They already knew their target build number then. This has been the process for all OEMs for decades.

        That $11k-13k category is an interesting one. (Basically 600/650 class) There are offerings from the other OEMs in that price range, but the bulk of the market lies in 800/850 class units. The snowmobile industry is a bizarre one…you’ll see comments all the time that “snowmobiles are too expensive”, yet, year after year, the most expensive stuff sells.

        • Are you hiring? I can work remote… LOL

          It is an interesting niche and one that A/C (should they release a new chassis) could and should fill using the existing Procross chassis as a full sized 600 ‘entry level’ sled (as all the tooling and r&d $ was spent ages ago for them and for the Ctech6000) and/or possibly go backwards slightly to a simple 100hp 600 TBI ala SkiDoo’s 55/65/85hp 600 found in the Sport and Neo models. A/C still uses TBI on the SX sled so the R&D with lower compression domes wouldn’t be too significant. Of course EPA credits and all would be a challenge due to A/C’s lack of four strokes and overall sales of four strokes. Utilize the 129 skid and old front end (ala the current RXC), basic IFP shocks, paint it all black with a few simple ARCTIC CAT decals, basic ‘a/f’ gauge from the SX chassis, etc. and call it a day for $12,345 + optional Electric Start.

          Polaris has been doing this with their ‘SP’ models for quite some time and BRP has followed suit with the Adrenaline model. There’s no reason Cat shouldn’t be in the game, that I can see. You?

          Ok, now for the one I want to see them make as a ‘Sno Pro’ fan(atic?)…

          Using whatever the current SX chassis may be… use the consumer 600 engine (or a low compression 600TBI) and clutches, no e-start, trail sled fuel tank with stiffer Riot seat, Riot skis, 137 Cobra 1.325″, Fox IFP (QS3?) shocks, 22/48 gearing without the slipper… leave the tunnel, SX skid and front end raw, plain black, green or gray (lol) plastics adorned with one very small ‘Sno-Pro’ decal on the hood, the std SX gauge, warmers a tether switch and that’s it. All proven parts from existing sleds they already make, slapped together just so us ditchbangin’, racer wanna-be dingdongs could change/upgrade it just as we want from there… for $12,999 msrp of course. This may also bring down the cost of the actual race sleds due to higher production runs the consumers would be purchasing.

  3. Where.s the snowmageddon pricing? Do they really expect customers to pay these prices for the same sled as last year?

  4. Snowmageddon is gone. So the pricing advantage they had pre 22 is gone altogether. So premium price for 2018 tech.

    A few ways to look at this – we’re all guessing since textron marketing has gone fishing, and this (much appreciated) free site is all we can go by.

    1. Textron just can’t get the parts to build that many sleds this year, so they are ignoring the value customers and just building the high margin sleds. If this is the case, I’m not sure why doo and poo can get the parts for these customers.
    2. That number must be so low that pricing doesn’t matter – no one will have much to sell anyway, so they will sell out all they can anyway. That’s why a 23 ZR 800 has gone up $4K compared to a 20 800 limited, the last time they changed anything.
    3. If you exit a business line you have to provide parts for a number of years. Killing off the brand slowly with no new investment keeps these trailing costs down.

    Bottom line is they’ll sell all they can make. Dealers and customers will suffer due to the high prices and low volumes.

    The hope is they have something big ready for 24, or perhaps that Argo is interested. Gunner and Heidi don’t know anything about sleds and textron has no history of success with consumer products, so no confidence here. Just want to see Cat revived and kicking again.

          One of the comments was:”I worry for all the good engineers at Arctic who have been such a big part of the development of the snowmobile program. I know we don’t have to worry about Roger but what of people like Brian Dick, Joel Halstrom, Greg Spaulding, Ryan Hayes, Kirk Hibbert, Al Shimpa and others”
          It turns out that most every person on that list was fired, including Roger.

          • Did most of them end up at Argo or Polaris? If argo I’m still hopeful they’ll find a way to revive the brand, and pull a cat out of a hat!

      Your point #3 is not true, there is no law stating that. If it is done, it is done as a courtesy to the customers, not a requirement.

  5. The more upbeat way to look at it is this: This offering and these price points are all they can do for 23. Prices need to be high to cover low volumes, and low volumes across the market will ensure 100% sales regarding of price. Textron will be ready to go in 2024.

    • Doubtful. The market determines value of product. Pricing is secondary. If Cat only sells a minimum amount and costs are covered, then they survive a little longer. Cost of operation have been cut significantly. No R&D means no new product or technology. Cat is running on fumes presently.

      2024……we shall see.

          • I bought a 2020. Great sled. Made more selling it than I paid and that was a family discount. Even if they had a new chassis, would be 2 years minimum before I would touch one Karen. I prefer improvements over all new any day.

Iv got 2 buddy’s that ordered ZR6000RXC. Coworker , grabbed a dealer stock . 022 ZR6000. My TWO Cents ‼️

  9. Unfortunately this website can not deal with constructive criticism. It is why the company bearing the name of Arctic Cat is backsliding. When your customer is your toughest critic and you ignore them, you get what is occuring. Pricing is secondary to product. When product doesn’t meet consumer expectations then you lose customer loyalty and financial resources. Both are signs of considerable problems of both present and future operations of said organization. Recent years sales figures indicate the formentioned problems. The moderator of this site should consider that problem rests with the company producing the product. Not the consumer offering suggestions. After 50 plus years in the automotive industry I have seen enough to know when trouble is at the door.

            Powersports business publishes sales and market share figures.
            Baird Powersports does and publishes dealer surveys across the entire industry (they don’t bother with textron any more though, the last one was published in October, that alone would tell any half was smart person what was going on)

        • CatRider/TP or Anyone Else – Throughout my career in the Powersports industry, Ive made it a practice not to sh*t where I eat or burn any bridges. This industry is far too small, and I truly respect, and enjoy, working with all the people within its walls. (Consumers, Dealers, Club Members, other OEMs, Ambassadors, Editors, Athletes, Racers, Race Team owners, Race Circuits etc)

          That said, there isn’t really a reason to be critical about anything here. Speaking for snowmobiles, they haven’t changed in 60yrs. They all have an engine, track and two skis…and continue to be damn fun EVERY TIME I swing a leg over one.

          Like anyone reading here, would I like to see Arctic Cat be #1 in sales? Of course I do. Given that scenario, Im guessing people would still find something to complain about…like I see on SkiDoo and Polaris sites now.

          My goal and intent with this website hasn’t changed since its inception – I want to share information about the brand and hope those reading can learn from it and share thoughtful opinions in a manner that is respectful towards others.

          • Love the site and he work you do far all of us. It’s just frustrating times for arctic cat folks. We have all been there before, and will get through it. I just wish they were a little more transparent with where they are going with the brand. I think that’s what makes everyone a little crazy.

    • So are all the Blast models. Are they only building 10 of each. Lol. I was thinking about trading in a sled for a Blast M, but not now as they are sold out. I hope this spring only ordering is not the new game in town. I really don’t need a new sled so I will see what 2024 brings. (Hopefully, some new tech somewhere.)

    • If I make 100 snowmobiles then sell those 100 snowmobiles , I am sold out, correct? But if I sell 100 snowmobiles and my competition sells 10,000 snowmobiles, who controls the market? The competition is gobbling up market share annually. Every manufacturer is selling out. But the competition is selling out greater volumes of product. In the end the competition will dictate the market. You might take in to consideration this when discussing such topics. The market determines the value of the product. Presently the competition controls almost 90 perecent of the market. Think about it.

I think it’s been a fact for awhile, that Cat has only held around 14 percent of the market share, and the guys that comment on this site really care about their share of the market dwindling less and less every year until extinction. Maybe you should change the way you make comments sometimes, because these guys are very passionate about trying to help and save a company they care about.

  13. It would be interesting to know how many of each sled they actually had available to purchase. To me, when considering they have sold out of most of their sleds within a day or two Cat is not building many sleds. If this is their new sales plan, God help us.

    I mean, could you image if they pulled this in the car industry to this extent. Sorry, you missed your chance buying a Tahoe, try next year.

    • They are. Hence the decreased inventory on dealers lots. Going to get worse before getting better. The increased cost to own and operate a vehicle is going to force people into mass transit and city type living. Things like recreational products will become extinct. Read the year end review on all the manufacturers. Average revenue decreased on average by 7 to 9 percent last year.

    • Sleds were pre sold for weeks. Dealers don’t just sit and wait with there finger up there Dave the Downer. Will it be lower. Absolutely! No one wants a repeat of 2022.

    using the cpi calculator the 2012 F800 Procross had an MSRP of $11,799 so in todays dollars that’s $14,966
    and the 2014 ZR 6000 RR was $12,349 which equates to $15,178 cpi adjusted… or the same price as a 2023 RXC without electric start… for pretty much the exact same sled. LOL

    2010 Sno Pro 500 (the best sled they ever sold) was $8299 MSRP which in todays dollars is $11,011 but for 2023 A/C doesn’t have a comparable $11K sled, or a $12K sled or a $13K sled… they have overpriced Procross and b-Last models… nothing in a happy medium. They go from $9K to $14K with nothing in the middle and I believe that is a big gap, and a huge mistake.

    • Sandberg did a great job on that inflation story, but it made sense to write it at the time. I may be blind, but I have a hard time believing the majority of snowmobilers are complaining about prices right now when the highest zoot models are selling out the quickest for ALL brands. Same goes for UTVs, Trucks, RVs, Boats etc…

      • Yes, an excellent job indeed.
        That was 2017 and inflation was ‘only’ averaging 2%, but since Q1 2021 until now inflation has crept up from 1.4% to 8.5% currently. https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/inflation/historical-inflation-rates/
        My point was in part trying to justify the price of past and current snowmobiles from Cat. Based solely upon inflation it’s somewhat justifiable.
        A lot has changed in the pricing structure since 2017 using the previous model John laid out with cars, trucks and even phones. A new 1/2 p/u with commonly purchased options starts around $50k these days, and with certain EV’s we’ve seen an even larger increase in the pricing. The upcoming F150 Lightning (Pro) has a base price around $41k, step into an XLT with extended range and you are quickly at $73k.
        I’ve read the phrase ‘snowmobiling is a rich mans sport’ countless times over the years and to an extent is has merit. $15-20k for a toy you can use three months out of the year? It is quite amazing what some people are willing to or have the ability to spend on toys. This is also imo is why the manu’s have offered lower price point entry level sleds like the b-Last, Neo, etc. and that isn’t a bad thing for the industry, but also imo why they (Cat) should be taking a hard look at the $10k-$13k gap if they want to survive and thrive in the future. It’s funny typing this as a young guy in my department is about to go pick up his $40k bass boat which is what would be defined as a ‘mid range’ priced boat these days.

        • I have owned new since 1991. 91 Jag AFS. 93 Prowler. 94 EXT EFI, 96 ZR 580, 98 ZL 500, 2002 ZL 600, 96 Firecat 600 EFI R. 2015 6000 LXR. 2018 (Still have and put 1000 miles on it this past year), 2020 Limited 6000 with iAct that I sold to my brother. Will pick up my 2022 6000 RR in October. Had numerous used sleds and one mistake Polairis new, 1997 XC600, worst sled I have ever had. Gave it away finally. TP. If sales me so much to you, why is Polaris always the first loser?

          • Doubtful. Maybe an owner of a Kitty Cat. As for Polaris…..they aren’t where they are because of luck. They like BRP build excellent stuff.           Anyway, I’ve been working for the past few weeks, in my spare time, starting with the year 2000, and working up to last year’s “line-up”, noting every Arctic Cat sled made, and coming up with modern versions. I came up with a way to weed out any that don’t sell, what percent of extras for each model to make, what engines to make, etc etc etc. But then I realized…what a f–king waste of time that is. Nobody from Conglom-O reads these comments. They are never going to change and make what we want in order to actually make money. Anyone with a BRAIN can tell they don’t care. They are happing making 100 or so 120s, 200s, Blast Ms, Blast XRs, Blast XR Tourings, Riot 9000s, Blast LTs, Blast ZRs, ZR R-XCs, Thundercats, and ZR6000s, and “selling out” of them in less than a day. But all 48 models of M8000 are still available! Thank GOD.

          It’s a waste of time. I wash my hands of it. I’ve got better things to do with my time, and I suggest you guys follow too. Be like JimR-a-doodle-doo! Don’t worry! Be ignorant!

  17. The last Baird Dealer survey that showed market share had these results: BRP 51% Polaris 33% Arctic Cat 14% Yamaha 4%.

    By the way, after quarter after quarter, and year after year of, quote, “All measures of sentiment remain at or near record lows – and maintain a wide gap vs. the powersports average”, Baird has discontinued even bothering with surveying Arctic Cat dealers going forward.

      • LOL, I saw that, as well, but let’s not miss the point. When I was a dealer, there were generally three firms who would conduct quarterly phone surveys. After a while, Baird went to a survey that was emailed quarterly, and allowed the dealer to complete it as time permitted, and to answer questions in writing, and make commentary. AFAIK they were the last firm to even bother with Arctic Cat. Now they literally don’t view it as worth their time and effort. They still survey Polaris, BRP, Yamaha, and the rest of the powersports industry. Even Ducati. I could copy and paste page after page of direct quotes from dealers, but the lines are clearly drawn here. I don’t expect folks who don’t or haven’t had an inside view to understand how demoralized what’s left of the dealer base is when they are honest, and not putting on a brave face.

  19. You want to know the worst thing that could happen? That no Cat guys were commenting here at all. If that ever happens then Cat really would be doomed because it would mean we’ve all moved on from Cat. But we haven’t yet, and we continue to be critical because we see our brand depleting by Textron. We see the lack of marketing, we notice the poeple they hire have no snombile background, we see the lack of brand amabassadors, we see the lack of support in R&D, the lack of support in racing, we see the dealer network cut and still not brought back up where it should be. Many things we notice. And to that I say, keep up the pressue. Because if we don’t ask, suggest, demand, then we get what we get. Call, email, comment to Cat is what is and coninues to be needed until our brand is restored to the way it should be.

  20. Cat has a lot of work to do in order to get market share back. I love my Cats, currently have a 22 Tcat with atac and eps, 21 Zr6000ltd with atac, 19 Tcat with iact and a 01z440 esr. The power steering is a real game changer absolutely love it. the 6000 is a great sled, real like it as well, but now they no longer make one with atac and haven’t for two years. They need something new to revive the brand, but need to support it with custom options, more accessories, luggage bag system, etc. It’s a lot of work, but needs to happen if they want a comeback. I am a trail rider and find the luggage is a joke, I have their saddle bags which they no longer make, they are getting old and I will need to replace, been moving them from sled to sled through the years. I will have to go to a Kimpex system or LinQ which just seems weird to me, they should make something themselves that fit the sled instead of going to BRP’s stuff. I hope they have a big release in 24. Here’s to hoping.

  21. Anyone susccessfully used the website to place a pre-order? I’m not actually buying yet another Procross at $16k+, but the website will not allow a pre-order to be placed on 2 different devices that I tried on. Yes, these are sleds still listed as available. Yikes.

      Go to pre-order (not build) on the bottom right, then select model. As of the moment it looks like ZR8K’s, Riots and Msleds. No RXC’s or 6K’s, no kids sleds, or bLasts.

  22. As I have read the comments on this and other website over the past couple years, one thing is sadly evident. A lot of people who are taking time to come to this and other sites are frustrated with this company right now. It’s not a great time to be excited about the brand or even for someone to be telling their buddies that they own the brand. The Poo and Doo folks just laugh. Any excitement from the Textron takeover and the hope for R&D dollars to be infused isn’t there anymore. I’m not sure people trust Textron or their intentions for the future. A lot of Cat owners don’t believe they’re being heard or that Textron/AC even wants to listen to what they have to say. They feel like a lot of things are stuck and not moving forward and we’re losing ground to the competition every year.

    Separating fact from fiction is hard to do. Cat isn’t exactly saying much and most of us just don’t know. I feel for this site because there isn’t a lot of insider information to share. So yes, a lot of people are very frustrated right now. Whether they should feel that way or not doesn’t matter because the fact is they do feel that way.

    • Consider this Textron is a military industrial complex company. Do you really think they hsve the best interests of A/C at heart? Or is it simply a cash cow until the last drop of profit is sucked from it? As both Glad2Gone and myself have said, we have seen how TXT operates. It isn’t for the purpose of producing products of demand.

  23. I used to love this website, but a few of you have made it unreadable. We’ve known since early March there would be no new chassis, so no use telling us daily why you’re mad and why you think Arctic Cat sucks. Also, it’s silly to give Textron/Arctic Cat a total pass. Yes, it’s been a challenge dealing with the integration of a new company and dealing with supply chain issues, but they could have done more to show their commitment to the sport and their customers. It’s become pretty clear there will finally be a new chassis next year. So I’m willing to wait and see. This time next year we’ll know what Arctic Cat will be under its “new” ownership. If I don’t like what I see….if they aren’t the Arctic Cat I’ve grown to love and have ridden since 1975, I will go a new direction at that time. But until then, I will thoroughly enjoy creating more great memories on my Arctic Cats. I’ll check back occasionally to see if this site might actually become something closer to what it once was as well. Hoping for the best. Happy trails all!

        • They damn near killed an American motorcycle icon. I can do without another iconic name being trashed. Cat always lead the competition. From the orignal El Tigre thru to the ZR, nobody was more dedicated to build sleds that people wanted than Cat.

  24. Companies can’t build stuff they can’t get parts for. I am grateful to get my 22′ EPS in late March. Compared to the 23′ pricing, 22′ is a gift. I am sure cat would like to sell three times the number of sleds available for 23′. Supply chain problems will exist through 2023 in many industries.

    Inflation, high interest rates, and the impending recession will kill off demand for motorized toys just in time for 2024. I will happily be riding my antiquated Tcat.

    • Yea, they can. You make your own parts and avoid the supply chain. Making parts is easy. Getting qualified people to make those parts is part of the problem. Sending manufacturing overseas now is clearly a problem and takes center stage. I personally have a machine shop in my home and pretty much can duplicate anything the factory makes. If I can do it, so can they. They simply went the route of cheaply made parts made in countries where labor costs allow for greater profits at customer expense.

        • Have access to some of the smartest people around. They can make anything. It is the reason why America was the greatest country in the world at one time. We could build anything. We were the standard of the world. Tracks…Goodyear ,Gates or Dayco. Casting…you bet. What type? Die, Investment, Sand, Wood, or Lost Foam? Build anything you can think up. Want a lesson on building stuff. Take a trip to Michigan. All kinds of great people that can build anything you want.

        My lathe came from a toolmaker that worked at Chrysler a million years ago, when they were a good American company. Not owned my the Krauts or Guineas. And I can say that, because I am part Kraut and part Guinea.

        I’d like a bridgeport, but I never felt comfy flying one, like I am when using a lathe. I could probably get used to it, given time.

        I will, but realism won’t get the bloodsuckers to change. I feel like we are trying to put out a forest fire with an eye dropper.

        • No doubt you could master it in a short period of time. Just a lathe turned vertical. But boy the stuff you can make! I learned because of racing. Cuts your costs big-time. You can innovate to your hearts content. Raw material is cheap. Have the tooling and you build what you want. At one time I made a roller Arctic Hex clutch. Best investment I made was learning to do this myself. Broken meant a few hours, not weeks to fix. Like your lathe, paid for itself many times over!

  27. When Textron bought Cat, they looked around the offices in Georgia to see who they could send north to run Cat and I’m sure most of them were ducking behind their desk’s. The big shots picked some people out and told them to pack their bags and head north, and they said, where the hell is Thief River Falls Mn. So they reluctantly went up to Cat with no compassion or motivation to try and and run a snowmobile manufacturing company. And for that reason, I think those people are just going through the motions to get a salary and just do not have any passion for this industry.

  28. I just recently picked up my 22 tcat. I noticed the chain case cover does not have the sight glass that they have had in the past, it’s just a small allen head screw. Does any one know if the sight glass was removed in recent years? Also noticed that most of the nuts and bolts on the tcat are gold. I’ve looked back at my previous sleds and none of them have gold hardware they are all silver. The gold hardware stands out and not in a good way. Has anyone else noticed this, did cat change for a reason or with supply issues was this all they could get? It looks bad.

    Gotta admit, I came into this looking “Things will still be OK.” And it was, sort of, for a while! We had some good stuff in 17, 18, and 19! But, that stuff was probably in development and nearing completion before the bloodsuckers bought Cat.

  30. Sight glass went away in 2021. Not a big deal as after one season, the sight glass was useless. Bolts and fasteners going from silver to gold?   37. Just checked out AC website. You can tell which sleds need to be replaced with something new. The mountain and ZR trail sleds are still left. Will AC turn a blind eye?

    • Most of the 8000s are left. That means that they are making more of them than the others, which actually makes sense. The 2 non ATAC ZR8000s, 4 of the 16 variants of M hardcore Alpha Ones, 8 of the 32 variants of Mountain Cat Alpha Ones, the 2 non ATAC Riots, and the 2 Riot Xs are sold out. That’s 18 out of 58. It’s only been a week. NOTHING should be SOLD OUT at this time, let alone in 1 DAY. For a million years, back when Cat was Cat, MANY snowmobiles were made, and the only time limit was on the special graphics packages, and that was about a MONTH. People ORDERED sleds. People GOT sleds. No fighting over 100 or so Thundercats!

      They need to make MANY more models and engines, but that will NEVER happen. Not from the bloodsuckers trying to kill Cat.

  38. Not here to argue but I’m confused. I heard SkiDoo is sold out . Yamaha sold out , in like in 24hrs . Polaris, like 48hrs . I thought Cat would be sold out already? But the True Mountain rides aren’t a fan of the Alpha. All The manufactures cut back this year. Polaris dealers east of the Rocky Mountains. Can’t sell mountain Sleds this year! My cousins dealership out west. Usually sells 500+ Polaris sleds. They could only sell 190 Mountain sleds this year . Sold out in 1 day . They would all like to build more . But after the embarrassment they all took last year ! Thinking it’s smart for them to play it safe ! I was denied a sled last year. Have my fingers crossed that I will get one this year.

  39. Hmm, car lots are empty, people are waiting 6-12 months for new cars and trucks! Even then, some are missing features that were available last year! Shelves in stores are empty! I want new tires for my truck, but the ones I want are backordered! Inflation is at an all time high! Interest rates are going up!

    But hey, only Textron/AC are at fault for not getting parts or producing?

  40. I see a lot of car commercials where I live. Would they be advertising something they can’t get? Lotta backlash there if they are lying.

    • Nice. Still got 36 OF THEM to choose from.

      I’d PAY to see how many sleds they are actually making, including the ones for SkiDoo.

      • Actually not that many different mountain sleds. 2 different colors, e-start or not, 2 different lengths, atac or not, 2 different tracks – adds up to quite a few options, which everyone has been asking textron to offer. Be nice if they start offering options for length and track for the trail sleds going forward too.

        Glad they sold out of the ZRs and Riots.

        • Yes it does. There are 48 total mountain sleds offered for 23, but only 3 6000s of ANY type. 3 9000s. Kinda limited.

          They aren’t going to offer more models. This isn’t 2018, and they don’t have to maintain the façade anymore. Now, they finally get to start carving up the Christmas Arctic Cat! Headed for the ol history bid!

          • I see what you are saying. Way back in 2018 you could pick different shock packages on the trail sleds – lxr/sno pro/limited/rr. Now it’s the limited only, although now that sales are very limited it’s not called the limited anymore. And back then you could choose 129 vs 137.

            Be cool if textron allowed cat to do something like Poo is doing when you order – you pick the chassis, then engine, track, e-start, different coloring schemes, windshield, accessories.

  41. I seem to remember a time when you could order sleds. If you wanted a Thundercat or 2 9000RRs, you could get one. You had about a month to order one, because they were spring order only, so you had to make up your mind quick! But if you missed it, you still had the 9000 LXR, 4 9000 Limiteds, 2 9000 SnoPros, 9000 CrossTrek, 9000 Cross Country Limited, and 9000 High Country Limited. Those you could order in season. Nobody went without. The idea of being SOLD OUT of a sled was UNHEARD off. Sold out? What the hell does that mean?

    This was the far off year of 2017. Was that real? Does anybody else remember that? I have this strange feeling I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.

    • 2017 did not have supply shortages and Covid Karen. Sold out means there is a name to every sled they can build of that model. Not rocket science Karen. You are talking back when things went wrong. To many sleds were forced on dealers which Cat would have gone belly up if not for Textron purchasing them and there debt. Get it Karen?

I’ve read a lot of comments regarding argo saving cat, here’s the comment I got when I approached 4 argo guys sitting in their booth at haydays last year, “that’s a good business NOT to be in” is the only response I got from them when I asked if they would buy cat. It was kind of awkward. I know there was a couple ex cat guys in the group.

    • Means they can make a lot of Mountain sleds there Dale. Dealers will take the left over inventory and sell them in season. Not rocket science.

    • Good news is I mite be able to get my M . But Dealers aren’t going to order any extras . A lot of them are sitting on leftovers . That they can’t sell now . Guys out West want Twin rails . Not single rails . No one is Hill climbing a Stock Alpha. They only run the modified classes . So they can put twin rails on them. The other manufactures are sold out of Mountain Sleds . A/C missing the boat again. They need to make both.

  46. So now that this BS for the 23s is over, can we see SOME sort of proof of this new chassis that allegedly exists?

    • Manu’s used to release mid-season releases of new sleds. Cat can/should do that in January if they really have new chassis.

  47. I agree with that statement Dale, if Cat wants to keep our attention. They sure are acting like they have something major in the works.

    • They did do something really new for the ATV with the new ATV 600. Hopefully they bring something like that to sleds (and UTVs).

  49. ATV is home. Sweet ride. Sled was at dealer yesterday as well, but truck driver forgot about it so will be delivered today. Financed them together. Pick up sled in the fall. A lot of green in the garage.
