Enjoy.

1. Looking back over the years it seems the first year race sled from any of the manf. always has mechanical issues that rear their ugly head after the first couple of races. It could be suspension, chassis or drive train.
It always blows me away how these issues are not picked up during testing, but once a sled hits the production floor the QA issues come to light resulting in DNF’s.

Will be interesting to see what transpires with this sled. Doo and Polaris are running the same chassis for the most part this year. The Doo sled has some new front suspension parts and engine updates. I am thinking they will have the early advantage at teh start of the season.

2. What Hal says has a bit of truth, but it’s not universal. I remember vividly the original ZR kicking serious butt at Duluth in SX, then at Pine Lake in XC, in its maiden year.

The first Firecat racer, the ’02 Sno Pro, definitely had gremlins. But Tucker also took both Pro Championship titles that year, along with Matt Judnick winning Semi Pro championship, Amanda Johnson winning Pro Women and Kirk winning Pro Vet championship.

Initially the 2008 Sno Pro racer had some spindle issues, but was a winner out of the box and stout its maiden year.

The beauty of racing the ProCross chassis is that racing invariably uncovers gremlins (if they exist) and ideas for improvement faster than they would have occurred otherwise.

No internal testing program is robust/complete enough to uncover every problem. Not for sleds, ATVs, automobiles, space shuttles, food, etc…

3. Is Tucker going to wait for # 68 to roll off the line? Seems like cat is getting a late start to build these this year or did they already make them?

I see Tucker has a lot of powder coating to do if he wants this one to be all black!lol

4. I’ve seen the two colored sides used on race cars. Any idea who drives race cars and where the color scheme may have come from? da

5. What’s also sweet is that after talking with the engineer at Hay Days that worked on this race sled – he said the race sled and consumer sleds will now be aligned once again in terms of platform. That’s how it used to be if you remember but apparently they got away from that as they had to different teams working separately on the sleds. I told him yah, we all begged for the SP chassis and all we kept getting was the Twin Spar year after year(aside from getting the sp500 finally). Ultimately, I think it probably hurt sales for AC by not having a similar platform as the race sled available to consumers. However, I was told first hand there is no plan to go back to having separate platforms. Obviously, we know the race sled is somewhat different because duh its a race sled. But it will be nice to see Tucker win and know that you can go to your dealer and buy that sled platform.

6. For those of you who are wondering, tucker is already putting graphics on his sleds. he has a picture of the waste paper on his facebook page.

7. I’m betting on a very successful year for Team Arctic. They’ve been proving this chassis to be the best all around chassis for the past four seasons. This new Sno Pro is the finished product of all the past R&D work. I doubt there will be any “major” issues. The TCL will definitely be an advantage over the competition…

8. @DULPHER yeah i just looked again today and it could possibly be the trailer. I think if the sleds weren’t done they wouldnt be worrying about the trailer tho.

9. Can you trail ride these sleds with out have to do a lot of work to them?? I want race the new 600 and also trail ride it can ya do that??

10. I hope that they will release 600cc 2-stroke consumer sled with exactly same suspension and shocks in 2013. Cat has abandoned the true ditch banging cross country sled segment. Check out the Lynx RE 600 E-TEC and make this kind of sleds. I know AC knows how to do it but their idea of being fastest on lakes dont appeal all riders especially here in Finland.

11. yamaha parts cost alot and you need sliders all the time oil cehgnas are costly and the sleds are heavy. also need to change products are getting old.

12. I first quoted the 243.. becuase of its flat shooting ability, and it too can drop deer at long ranges,, The 270 would have been my second choice, again as you state, flat shooting round with a kick when you go with composite stocks.. Congratulations on such a Nice Bull too. http://aqmraz.com lbiyybqy [link=http://ruubtolkajr.com]ruubtolkajr[/link]

13. I love my .243, but I also agree that it is vitally imrtpoant to try out different guns (no matter what the type- rifle, pistol, shotgun, etc.) before you purchase one. It is miserable trying to shoot a gun that is uncomfortable, and preventing this is so simple. 14. HiI guess during races when pansisg through or leaving a checkpoint after a race, they only use one hook and rely on the team to not move until the ready command – is that right? Does that mean the dogs learn the difference or they are just more worn out – or does the young team musher use more hooks during race time?

20. Can this cover be installed on the 1200 s? I have a 2010 Renegade 1200 X that I have croeentvd to as much as Summit as an XR can be. I get about a third of the belt life that most 1200 riders are getting. As such, I am looking to install the new cover in addition to the brp vents. If I were to add these vents to the lower portion of the side-panel, will it reduce the efficiency of the new cover? Thanks http://mnjsjir.com umsawce [link=http://oyukvbwo.com]oyukvbwo[/link]
