A Mighty Good Feeling: 1977 Pantera Commercial

Check out this awesome Arctic Cat commercial for the 1977 Pantera. Do we Midwesterners really talk like that? The movie Fargo, anyone?

Getting a new snowmobile makes each of us feel mighty good. Like Henry.

  1. This was the first sled i ever had as my own. My dad handed it down to me when i was 12 years old, he had it since the early 80’s. I think first time i rode it was 1996 or 1997 winters when MN had record snowfall, it would go anywhere his XCR went!

  2. Some things never change…I got the very same reaction when I drove though downtown Ogilvie MN with a 2012 F800 in the back of my old Ford truck just last week. This particular day I was headed in to the gas station to fill up with 91 octane and grab some Lefse. Also…ever since elementary school I have always disliked it when people flipped my ear-flapper hat forward on my head.

  3. Yah, dat vas von of da best looking Cats ever made. Uffda! I remember “racing” Marlin Kloety on his Pantera every Vednesday night on da Tief River Falls poker runs. Dat man could sure ride (and drink too)! Now if only dey vould have served lutefisk and lefse vith da beer at da bars after ve drew our poker hands………………………….

P.S. Yah, I vas riding von of dose snow machines made 60 miles nort back then. Sorry I alvays beat you Marlin!

  4. John to answer your question: Do we Midwesterners really talk like that?

No we midwesterners don’t, but you Minnesotans sure do 🙂
And then you guys are always saying us guys from Chicago have the accent LOL

  5. I still have a Pantera sweater. It was given to me as a Christmas gift by my mother-in-law who at the time worked for the original Arctic Enterprises company. The sweater has black, orange, and yellow stripes. Maybe it will be a collector’s item some day.

  6. I think that’s Louie Anderson as the gas station attendant.

I hope Henry made er home before the sled rolled out the back of da truck.

  7. A) I just saw Avenue Q on Sunday. Between that and my obnoxious habit of over-using new words I’ve lerenad in everyday conversations, I’ve heard the word Schadenfreude far too many times this week.B) Try soyrizo. TJ’s has their own brand, or you can find it in most big grocery stores. Honestly, it tastes exactly the same and is WAY easier to cook (not to mention it won’t give you a heart attack)C) Write more, ya damn slacker. Thomas Jefferson

  8. Andrew,Congrats on getting the posiiton. I know this is something that you and Vanessa have been wanting to do for some time now, so I’m glad that the Lord has finally been able to provide that for you and your family. Have fun, be safe and I expect to have one more lunch with you before the final transition, if it’s at all possible. http://jhhhaoml.com ioqhxcphs [link=http://ydpmsfil.com]ydpmsfil[/link]
