Arctic Cat Injects Global Sales Experience with New Vice President

(THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN January 8, 2026) – Adding leadership, experience and a familiar face in the powersports category, Arctic Cat announces Erik Nelson as its new VP of Sales.
With over 25 years of professional experience, Nelson is a proven global business leader in outdoor, manufacturing and powersports.

“Excitement is the best word to describe coming back to Arctic Cat,” Nelson said. “Even though I left Arctic Cat in 2017 after 5 great years, my heart never has. This brand is built on passion, and from day one the new ownership group has made it very clear that Arctic Cat is going to deliver the best experience for consumers, dealers, suppliers and employees. Passion drives progression and with this explicit focus and commitment I’m all in.”

“Erik’s knowledge and experience in outward focused sales and channel strategies will fortify Arctic Cat’s approach in delivering the ultimate partnership experience to our existing dealer base and offer a new way of doing business for many dealers looking for the right powersports partner,” said Arctic Cat President and CEO, Brad Darling. “His enthusiasm for powersports and rider-first approach will be the driving force behind his like-minded team’s success.”

Dynamic and passionate employees are paramount to the success of any company and coming off the heels of this week’s Widescape announcement, Arctic Cat continues to hold to its commitment of moving the brand forward in being a powersports leader.

  1. Congratulations Erik on your return to Cat. Great decision by Brad to put you into the VP of Sales position!! I really enjoyed working with you during your prior few years at Arctic Cat and I believe I retired from Cat after 20 years shortly after you departed. I knew I could always go to you and get some good advice on how to proceed next during some difficult years in the snowmobile business as I knew you had the same passion as I have for the brand. WELCOME BACK!!!
