It’s been a season to remember for Eric Downs. The Frattalone Racing Pro Lite pilot has been one of the most consistent forces in the AMSOIL Championship Snocross series, building momentum round by round and putting himself squarely in the championship conversation.
The breakthrough came at the US Air Force Snocross National in Shakopee, where Downs claimed his first Pro Lite win of the season. At Elk River, he swept all four heat races over the weekend and backed it up with a pair of second-place final finishes, pushing him into the points hunt.
Eagle River added another podium to the list, and Downs has his eyes set on finishing strong. “This year has been a blast with everyone from the team and Arctic Cat,” he said. “I was able to add another podium to the list in Eagle River and am going to keep the momentum going into Duluth.”
The season wraps April 3 and 4 at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, and Downs will be one to watch.
