For Sale: Tucker Hibberts 2010-11 Arctic Cat Race Sled

Tucker Hibbert's 2010 & 2011 Arctic Cat Sno Pro race sled for sale

Tucker Hibbert is selling a pretty unique race sled, one that began life as a stocker for the 2010 season (in which it was undefeated in the finals), after which it was transformed into a mod sled for the 2011 FIM World Championships in Finland.

As it sits now, awaiting a buyer, the Sno Pro mod wears the same graphics from its last race, the World Championships (shown above, where a blown belt in the second of three finals prevented Hibbert from claiming what would have been his second consecutive title). I’m pretty sure it’s the only sled that Tucker has ever raced with the number 1.

And as you would expect, the sled has some good ol’ Kirk Hibbert magic in the form of custom parts (Tucker is going to put together some notes about what, exactly, these parts are).

Here’s a “sales” flyer that the Hibbert crew created. Yep, this sled saw some wins!

First race on this sled netted Tucker a win at Duluth in November 2009.

He and the sled were joined on the podium by Team Arctic teammates Dan Ebert and Garth Kaufman.

The sled must have been too powerful for Tucker to continue to ride because, when it came time to drive back to the race rig, Kirk had to do the driving.

I’ve written about it before HERE… I think that that recent-generation Arctic Cat Sno Pro race sleds will be very collectible in future years, by virtue of their success and relatively small build quantities. Of all such sleds, Tucker’s actual race machines will undoubtedly be some of the most valuable.

Beyond the dollar value, however, is the historical and emotional value. Twenty-four years from now, when Arctic Cat celebrates its 75th Anniversary, this sled will be one of those that stops people in their tracks and elicits statements like, “I remember seeing Tucker race this sled at….”

UPDATE: The Sled is Sold.

  3. LOL, I imagine there isn’t a lot of room on a boat to store stuff you only bring out once a year. Love that slegih. I bet Christmas at your mother’s is a blast.I decorate the whole house except the bedrooms and upstairs bath. We also used to do two trees (living and family) but our current house isn’t big enough for that. Working on the kitchen/dining today
