Powersports industry veteran John Prusak – joins Arctic Cat

Welcome John Prusak, Arctic Cat’s new Marketing Communications Manager

The excitement and passion he has for snowmobiling and powersports is obvious. The publications he has been involved with are household names to snowmobiliers: Snow Week, Snowmobile, Snow Goer to name just a few. He has a connection to us riders that should serve the Arctic Cat brand well for years to come!

  1. what a great guy to have on the team, no other company has created as many legends in the sport. Maybe he can bring back the triple.

  2. John Prusak pushed over and stepped on my youngest at the 50th trying to get a photo of the Wildcat SXS when it was introduced. With no apology, my opinion of him is at the bottom.

    • I’ve been called a lot of bad and good things on message boards over the years — some of them have even been true! But knocking down a kid and stepping on him to try to box out for a photo?! My lord, that doesn’t sound like something I would do at all, but if I did I could see why you would hold a grudge all these years! I do remember when they drove in the Wildcat that day, and I also remember what a mob seen it was around it. in fact I got the heck away from it and went back an hour later when it wasn’t surrounded and took my pictures then. Now I realize on message boards a lot of BS gets tossed around, but if this really truly happened I sincerely apologize. And if this is a fake post put up by a prankster (Kale is that you?!) well then, you officially got me! Because I have spent an inordinate amount of time thinking about this since I saw the post this morning!!

  3. I’m confused at this. Early 2000’s he did and article after the other manufacturers went to A-arm suspension. Stating that Arctic Cat needs to update there suspension when they already were on the 4th revision, if I remember right. Cat was so pissed they pulled all there advertising money. and sent All There Dealers a letter on the issue. Wish I could find the article and the dealer memo.

  4. John – how about you being the guy to write a book on the history of Arctic Cat racing. Maybe call it “Racers Rule – A History of Arctic Cat Racing”.

  5. I think this is a good choice. John has done an excellent job at Snow Goer. That’s a tough job, I think print media is swimming against a swift current. I like the overall enthusiasm from everyone at Arctic Cat and the excitement being generated by everyone in the sport. I admire all those that bet on the future of the brand with their livelihoods, and that includes this announcement.

    • You’re reading (meaning arcticinsider) the best version, and a more modern relevant version of Pride magazine right now. I’m sorry, the numbers don’t lie… print is dead. I’m all for restricting things that make sense, but print is not one of them.

  6. I cannot for the life of me understand why nobody is talking about Cat’s re-engagement with Swanson Russel. You think ‘Waiting for Winter’ came back on it’s own? Cat just saddled up with the Marketing and PR agency that everyone was clamoring for… yet this guy is getting all the hype.

For anyone that cares, these guys are a monster in the outdoor recreation space – they don’t play:
