Race Mechanic Job Openings at Sportech

Not a bad way to travel to the races...

Got a passion for snowmobiles, racing and powersports? Want a job that could help turn you into the next Steve Houle or Russ Ebert? Or that could lead to a full-time product-development job at one of the most succesful powersports companies in the industry?

Then check out these two job postings from Sportech (and get your resume tuned-up). Opportunities like this don’t come around very often.

Race Team Mechanic:  Full-time opportunity for technicians with strong mechanical background and specific experience working with high-performance snowmobiles.

Experience working on Arctic Cat race sleds not required, but preferred. Must have strong organizational skills and a desire to work in a fast-paced race shop environment.  Attention to detail a must!

Looking for technicians who are comfortable working in a systemic environment and who understand and appreciate the need for excellence. Technicians with specific experience with performance testing or suspension or clutching calibration will be moved to the front of the pack.

This is a full time position from Mid-November through Mid-March. Mid-week hours are somewhat flexible; some weekend travel to races necessary but participation at all races is not required.

This position could lead into a full-time, year-round opportunity to work in the powersports industry with Sportech in an engineering or new product development capacity. There is an opportunity for the ideal candidate to begin working with Sportech IMMEDIATELY. This is an extremely rare opportunity to be a part of a dynamic, growth-oriented organization.

All applicants should contact Katie Kreuser at 763-274-7072 or kkreuser@sportechinc.com

Race Team Support:  Part-time opportunities for individuals interested in being a part of a growing professional snocross team. Responsibilities include light mechanical work and routine cleaning and maintaining of race sleds and race hauler.

This is a critical support position which will offer excellent educational opportunities for individuals looking to develop a career in racing or the powersports industry.

Applicants must have a strong work ethic and a demonstrated ability to learn. Position requires attention to detail and organizational skills. Position could lead to a full-time opportunity with access to full benefits. Position allows for afternoon/evening flexibility with 3-5 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Occasional Sunday evening hours are also required. This is an ideal position for students looking to gain valuable experience while being a part of an exciting team environment.
