SnowTrax TV’s Adds FOX EVOL Shocks on a Sno Pro 500

Here’s a SnowTrax TV video about swapping in FOX Float EVOL ski shocks (and remote reservoir/clicker Zero X shocks on the skidframe) on their Arctic Cat Sno Pro 500.

Anyone here put EVOLS on their Sno Pro? I’d like to hear your thoughts.

  1. I would love to try the Evols but I’m not to excited about the price, pretty rediculous if you ask me. The people I have talked to about the Evols for the front suspension like them, they say it take the harshness out of the bumps. As for the rear I only know one person that switched out the front shock in the skid and they said it wasnt worth the money, but he liked the front Evols. I guess it will depend from person to person. I think having all that adjustability would be great for racing conditions, which is what the people I talked to and me would be using them for. Im interested in hearing what others say.

  2. I think I’m going to try them up front. A good piece of change, but I got the SP500 at a very good price and can sink the savings into the shocks. I think I’ll get more value out of these than pipes, clutching or engine porting. The front end is just so rigid stock.

  3. me and my riding buddy both bought 2010 snopro 500’s this fall.I got a set of evol R’s and my buddy had his shocks revalved and a dual rate spring setup from monsterperformance we will be doing some comparison testing once we get some snow and I will post up any thought on the two setups

  4. I have a set of CC valved evol-x’s on my 500. Way better than the stockers, even with the high price tag. However, with the x’s up front, it became very evident that the stock rear was now a big problem. I was able to adjust the fronts to be about perfect but the rear became too stiff to match, so I’m now looking to do an upgrade on the rears for this year. educated swine can agree as he’s ridden mine last yr. This yr there will be 3 of us, all with different suspension set ups, so it will be a good yr to compare what works and what doesn’t……
