Press Release-

TEAM ARCTIC TRIUMPHANT AT USXC CROSS-COUNTRY OPENER ON PINE LAKE

Zach Herfindahl and Wes Selby go 1-2 in Pro 600; Team Arctic Victorious in 11 Classes; Plus 25 Class Wins for Team Arctic at ISOC Regional Snocross in Hill City, Minn.

Thief River Falls, Minn. (Dec. 19, 2013) – If there were any questions about which snowmobile brand would start the cross-country race season on top, Team Arctic racers answered with a crushing performance at the USXC Gerald Dyrdahl Memorial 200 at Pine Lake near Clearbrook, Minn., winning 11 of 18 finals including the prestigious Pro 600 final.

Armed with the new ZR6000R Sno Pro and Sno Pro 500 race sleds, Team Arctic racers and crews proved triumphant against the bitter cold conditions, the competition and an 11-mile lake course that rewarded speed and cornering prowess.  Christian Brothers Racing pro Zach Herfindahl established his place at the top of the class, winning the Pro 600 class ahead of Team Arctic teammate Wes Selby and fourth place finisher Jordan Torgerson.

All totaled Team Arctic racers captured 37 of 54 podium places at Pine Lake including the 11 class wins.

“There’s always a question mark going into the first race of the season,” said Mike Kloety, Team Arctic Race Manager, “And we’re definitely pleased with the answer. Herfindahl and Selby both raced exceptionally well, with each taking a win in one of the two Pro 600 finals that were combined for an overall score. Plus we have three top Semi Pro contenders in Casey Pries, Jon Arneson and Lance Efteland.

“We’re also very pleased with the strength of our 2014 ZR6000 RR in the new Super Stock class, where Jon Arneson and John Koch finished 1-2 on the consumer-available machine.”

Arctic Cat’s strength and depth in cross-country was underscored by the team’s capture of 36 of 54 possible podium positions, as well as the 10 different class winners. The same strength and depth were on display by the snocross team at the ISOC Regional event in Hill City, Minn., where Team Arctic combined to win 25 of 46 class finals.

Team Arctic cross-country racers return to national competition on Jan. 4, 2014, at the USXC event in Detroit Lakes, Minn. The next ISOC National race for Team Arctic national snocross competitors is Jan. 3-4 in Shakopee, Minn.

 1. Can you guys tell me what windshield the x country guys are running? As I told my buddy there’s a reason the racers don’t run the low windshields.

 2. I am so grateful to have wokerd at Mayo Clinic for over 20 years. I was one of the personnel employees who began working as a temp in 1987,on the 3rd foor of the Marriott because of lack of space in the clinic. I am also thankful for the opportunity my two daughters had to attend college with the Mayo scholarship program. I am thankful for the caring and dedicated oncology and radiation/oncology staff who treated my husband through a very difficult illness. Even after retirement it is still nice to visit friends when I have an medical appointment. Even 2-1/2 years after retirement, I walk proudly through the halls and have even occasionally helped a lost patient, explaining I use to work here.

 3. I believe pepole that do great things as David Bakken has done should receive something more than a plaque to put on a shelf. Possible cash award, or better yet, some free health care. the man will need some health care in the future. Why shouldn’t he receive a gift equal to all of the gifts he gave. 4. Hi Kevin, There is a slight steeirng difference with the side mount, but the convenience of having the controls and weight more mid-ship far outweighs any minor control issue. I have both options, and find the only time I will use the stern mount is when more ****pit space is needed (2 people, for instance). No holes are required with this design as well. Let me know if I can help, as I have made several of these, and have now have a proven design.Gary

 6. I have 3 questions conenrcing the KIT for my Riptide 55 pound thrust motor.1) You state that The Bassyaks system is designed around the Endura mount, the Riptide motor will work in the Endura mount. Does this mean that I need to buy the Endura mount for my Riptide?2) You state that the kit will work with ALL Endrua series motors, whether 30,40,45 50, or 55 thrust lbs. Does this mean it will also work with all the Riptide models from 30-55 thrust lbs? 3) In your description you state The kits are for the Endura 30 or 40 thrust lb motors and 5/3 speed . Since the Riptide 55 does not have 5/3 speed, but variable electronic speed control, this kit will probably not work for that, right? Thanks http://clwqfkv.com pwlbps [link=http://qwyfzlmemm.com]qwyfzlmemm[/link]
