The 2008 Sno Pro 600 was Arctic Cat’s return to form: a clean-sheet race sled engineered for modern snocross warfare.
After several years focused on trail and big-twin platforms, Cat came roaring back to the 600 class with a machine that was lighter, stronger, and far more precise.

L-to-R: Troy Halvorson, Brian Dick, Jesse Olson and Roger Skime, shown here with prototype Sno Pro 600s during the summer of 2007.

Its chrome-moly skeleton and relocated suspension geometry gave racers a weapon that danced through jumps and corners instead of muscling through them. The new crank and pipe combo improved throttle response so dramatically that even seasoned pros described it as “telepathic.”

It wasn’t just a race sled, it was a statement that Arctic Cat could still build world-class performance machines from the ground up. Many of its design cues would directly influence the ZR and later ProCross chassis sleds.

  1. Have yet to experience the catalyst, but this chassis is my favourite, its fit and finish wasn’t superior but it sure got the job done. Engine access was so much better than the first gen procross.
The deep tunnel, flat running boards and about as far rider forward as a sled can get.
Damn you can ride these fast and launch driveways like a KX250
    Love these sleds!!

  2. i Hve a 2012 500 with 8000 miles on it and counting. stopped rider my big power sleds because this chassis made up for its horsepower short comings. completely awesome sled, just gotta keep an eye on the jackshaft bearing behind the TEAM secondary. cheap chinese bearing from the factory.
