NEW CARVER PERFORMANCE CROSS COUNTRY TEAM ANNOUNCED

Carver Performance, based in Fosston, Minnesota, announced their new snowmobile race team for the 2023 COR Powersports Cross Country race season adding Nick Swenson and Keagen Houser.  

After 41 years in the snowmobile race industry, team owner, Mike Carver, wants to pass on his knowledge to team members who have an equal amount of passion, talent and work ethic that Mike has, in order to create a winning team.

Nick Swenson

NICK SWENSON – SEMI PRO

Swenson hails from Minnetonka, Minnesota, and started racing on the national motorcycle level at age 12. Career highlights include: 2021 Team USA International Six Days Enduro Racer – Italy – 15th of 500+ racers, 2022 Border Battle XC Big Snow Michigan Overall Pro Winner, 2018 Team GasGas Factory National Enduro Racer, 2016 Overall Minnesota Enduro Champion, 5th place AA Expert 2017 National Enduro Championship.  Nick’s father and grandfather were snowmobile racers which prompted him to try a race last season in the COR Powersports series, which he finished 4th.

KEAGEN HOUSER – SPORT

Keagen Houser is from Grand Forks, North Dakota and started racing at age 5.  Houser was on Carver’s radar after working hard and steadily moving up in classes. Carver believes with Keagen’s ability to communicate, listen and execute instruction indicates his future championship potential. Last season, Keagen secured 1st place in the COR Powersports Expert 600 Limited Class and 2nd place in the Junior 14-17 Class.

MIKE CARVER – MASTERS 40+/50+

Mike started racing in 1981 which lead to a career in the powersports industry and a long history of racing.  Mike’s on track highlights began by winning 1st place in the Open Independent Heartland Racing Association 1984 Season.  Last year Mike was the 1st place Master 40+ season winner for COR Powersports and the 1st place Master 50+ season winner.  Off the track, Mike has expertly tuned shock set-ups for winning racers in the Soo I-500, USXC/COR Cross Country, I-500, Iron Dog, and WPSA/ISOC Snocross.
