TIME CAPSULE: 2001 ARCTIC CAT Z440 SNO PRO SURFACES!

It’s probably been 23 years since any Arctic Cat race fanatic has seen a 2001 Z440 Sno Pro fresh out of the crate. This time capsule example just surfaced as a fresh trade-in at Thomas Sno Sports.

This was really fun to walk around and take in. The video doesn’t show the original owner/service manuals stowed in the rear trunk, but does show the rare windshield, handlebars still folded down, unattached skis, and an Arctic Cat box with a brand new speedo kit and handlebar pad yet to be installed. If you purchased this, would you set it up, or leave as-is? I’d have a hard time not making some type of clear encased bar as an addition to the ultimate man cave.

  1. Yes like where was this hiding? Had to have been at a dealer or the far back corner of factory lot. No dealers that im aware of ever sold machines without doing pdi and setup.

    • back then race sled could be picked up by racers in the box at the factory, many would do it while attending the race school, at the race department.

      • You still can pick them up at the race shop in the crate. Going to grab ours friday. For the first time in many years the are going to do a little school again. Just on a very small scale compared to years ago.

  2. This sled would drive me bipolar. One side says finish it off and ride it the other side says keep it wrapped in a bubble.
