Jeff Johnson Family Collection

Johnson family and their Arctic Cat collection

Jeff Johnson and his family have an amazing collection of Arctic Cat machines — some of which will be on display at the Arctic Cat 50th Celebration — and an amazing shop that they’re displayed in.

They live in McBain, Mich., and have been racing, riding and collecting snowmobiles for longer than I can remember.

(L-R) Eric, Penny, Jeff, Julie and Jeremiah.

Not only do the Johnsons have some remarkable vintage Cats (including Sno Pros, Turf Tigers, Pumas, Cross-Country Cats and more), they also have some historic machines from the 1990s and 2000s, including sleds raced by Blair Morgan, Kirk Hibbert, Kent Ipsen and Brian Sturgeon.

When you have a shop this nice, and an undying passion for snowmobiles, it’s natural to go with the Arctic Cat-theme wedding, as Jeremiah and Julie did. (Congrats to these two on becoming proud parents a few days ago!)

They’re yet another family/collection that I’m looking forward to seeing at the 50th.

  1. Jeff is one of the most knowledgable Cat guys out there and his kids have drank the Kool-Aid. I have learned so much from this guy over the years. That is just the type of person he is. Great collection, great family, great story. Thanks Jeff!!!

  2. I’m proud to say that Jeff’s been a long time friend of mine. Jeff’s wife. Penny, and his sons Jeremiah and Eric are just as pleasant as they can be. I’ve not met Jeremiah’s wife, Julie, but I’m looking forward to it. There aren’t many people that know more about Arctic Cat race sleds, whether they be vintage or current, than Jeff. His buildings, and collection, are absolutely top notch. His Arctic Cat parts stash is second to none. What you see in the photographs are about 25% of his collection……………Mike Farris

  3. Jeff’s place is definately on my short-list of places I cannot wait to visit. Jeff and his family not only have a knock-out collection of Arctic Cats…but…they are also some of the kindest, most helpful, sincere, fellow collectors you will ever encounter. Way to go Johnsons, looking forward to seeing you in TRF!

  4. I’ve also been to jeff’s place, and he has memorabilia I’ve never seen anywhere else. It’s a great collection.
