Magnus Lindback European Champion
I became the European champion in snocross after three days of racing. I started very well with good and determined riding, winning all three heats on Friday.
Saturday, I had worse starts, finishing fourth, second and winning the last heat.
Sunday, I had more problems and finished fourth in first heat, with a start/crash in the second heat where I raced to seventh place. I had to finish ninth or better in the last heat to win the European Championship (if my closest competitor, Johan Eriksson, won the heat). If Johan had a second place I needed a 12th place or better.
The start went smoothly, but in the second corner I drove into another rider and bent the steering rods on my sled. I was definitely running last of the 20 riders. But with a controlled ride, I was able to pass up to seventh place to become the European champion in snocross.
