Since Arctic Cat (Textron actually) owns the Motorfist brand, I thought I’d share this product release on the new BLITZ II MONOSUIT.
I’ve spent a fair amount of time in the original BLITZ version riding in the backcountry of western states and provinces, to trail riding in the midwest. There are varying thoughts and feelings towards one-piece suits, but my personal opinion, I generally like em. These are easy to get in/out of and gearing-up is a cinch.
When it comes to ride gear, every one of us prefers a different set-up and none of them are wrong. Me personally, I generally despise insulated gear because of the bulk it brings with it. Instead, I prefer to base layer with “long-undies” (light/med/heavy-weight) depending on the temps, and I choose to buy a size larger jacket to fit my protective Super Sport TekVest under, which adds a layer of warmth. This set-up always worked well in my Motorfist Blitz suit. Retail costs to purchase a monosuit are alarming at first, but when you look at buying a comparable Jacket and Bib combo, the costs are nearly the same. – Kale
The BLITZ II MONOSUIT from Motorfist starts with their trademark eVent® Fabrics DVexpedition Outershell. This waterproof membrane provides the ultimate in durability and all-weather protection while having the most advanced temperature regulation for the rider.
When it comes to features, the BLITZ II is loaded starting with the addition of Aerogel pockets providing safe, warm storage helping retain battery life for electronic devices. Aquaguard® thigh-located hand pockets are generously sized, and a front zippered garage provides third stall storage as does the hidden chest pocket.
Back and chest vents, integrated goggle cleaning cloth, adjustable lycra powder cuffs with thumbholes, drawstring at waist hem and collar, a tether D-ring at waist, and a removable lined 2L hood with shaped visor are all standard issue.
Suit mobility for the rider comes from waterproof stretch underarm and back panels, articulated knees with removable padding, a raised back ankle cuff and YKK Aquaguard 4-way leg zippers with drop seat. The BLITZ II suit adjustability also leads the forefront of the custom fitment category with durable interior adjustable suspenders, expanding elastic waist with two adjusters, and waterproof adjustable powder gaiters with boot clip and snap.
