Before my buddy Kale moved on to the next chapter in his career, he shared a previous Carbide Podcast on these pages with our mutual friend and MRP Champ Aaron Scheele. It was a great listen and hosted by Spencer Delabruere, who does a great job. Recently, Spencer returned to the Arctic Cat stable and completed a podcast with Team Arctic Race Manager Mike Kloety. Mike has been involved in the Cat race program for nearly as long as I can remember (and I’m getting old). Mike is class act and has always greeted me with a smile and conversation, even when things weren’t going very well at the track. More importantly, it was nice to see a “behind the scenes guy” like Mike get some microphone time. It’s a good listen and worth checking out. THE MIKE KLOETY PODCAST

I used to “race” Mike’s dad, Marland Kloety, on the Wednesday night poker runs between Thief River Falls and St. Hilaire in the ’70’s. Of course, my Polaris machines were faster than his Arctic Cats but I had to really work at it to beat him. That man could ride! And drink! He did not know when to back off. And since both my dad and I owned Chevy pickups, we also dealt with Marland at Northern Motors. He was the best service manager ever!😎
